About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the roadmap and execution of our AI bookkeeping and accounting platform.

You’ll define strategy, prioritize features, and guide the development team to deliver user-first, automation-driven experiences that empower the self-employed to run their businesses with confidence.

This role requires a strategic thinker who’s also comfortable getting hands-on — bridging the gap between our accountants’ technical needs, our users’ goals, and our developers’ execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the long-term direction for Cashflowy’s AI accounting platform, ensuring alignment with user needs and business growth.

- User & Accountant Alignment: Translate both user feedback and accountant requirements into actionable features that improve automation, clarity, and compliance.

- Backlog & Sprint Management: Prioritize and organize tasks for efficient development sprints, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term roadmap goals.

- Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor KPIs (time saved, automation accuracy, adoption rates) and use data insights to guide continuous improvement.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, QA, design, and finance experts to deliver high-quality, on-time releases.

- Market Awareness: Track trends in AI, accounting tech, and fintech innovation to identify opportunities that set Cashflowy apart.

- User Advocacy: Champion simplicity, usability, and trust — ensuring every new feature reduces complexity for self-employed business owners.

What Success Looks Like

- 3+ years of proven Product Management experience in Fintech SaaS, ideally with accounting, bookkeeping, or tax software (e.g., Xero, FreshBooks, QuickBooks).

- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum and backlog management.

- Strong ability to translate accounting requirements into product features that developers can execute on.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.

- A balance of strategic vision and execution detail.

- Familiarity with ClickUp or ability to learn it quickly.

- Understanding of AI-driven workflows and automation.

Nice to Have

- Experience in early-stage SaaS startups.

- Familiarity with financial dashboards or reporting tools.

- Experience with UX/UI collaboration in financial products.

- Background in user research or customer discovery.
